Low Roar (8/10)
Start 22:00 / End 23:00
To cite the label website: Low Roar is Ryan Karazija.  Ryan Karazija is Low Roar. And he certainly was at Urban Spree. He and his silent band mates managed to create what was a very intimate Folk concert with classic ingredients like a fantastic singing voice and an acoustic guitar and at the same time it was somehow as orchestral as it gets with careful use of drums, electronics and looping devices. The glitchy sounds and the bass were a welcome addition to the ethereal quality of
most of the songs. Ryan Karazija is from California but you definitely wouldn’t connect his sound with the sunny West Coast but rather with his current place of living – Iceland. The audience was stunned and had almost no chance of delivering applause at least for the first half because the band left no space between the songs. But in the end the band finally got what they deserved. You can see from the pictures that the light guy decided to sport a quite blue and foggy evening but that was strangely in tune with the music, though.
